Project Details
UTSHO Bangladesh is an NGO established in 1993, which works for child rights. Since its establishment it visualizes a society where children will be safe and secure, healthy, creative and avail opportunities to expand their talent; irrespective of race, religion, gender, class and disability. UTSHO school campus is constructed on a donated land in Sreepur, Gazipur. The school campus has , academic building, 2 separate dormitories for boys and girls, school, dining, multi-purpose hall & dining hall, kitchen (1st phase) and a clinic, staff housing, guest house (in second phase). Design, planning and choice of materials ensures cost effectiveness as the construction of the project has been conceived to be of minimum standard. Solar panels are installed to produce electricity for emergency and outdoor lighting. The Project is also designed for accessibility of physically challenged children. Landscaping has been done with local fruit and flowing trees to blend with the harmonious natural surroundings.
